The History of Robydome
Our Journey: From Innovation to Industry Leadership
Established in 1976, Robydome was founded with a clear mission: to design and manufacture an innovative control system for agricultural machinery.
That original vision was to bring intelligent, reliable automation to the Agri-tech sector. It laid the foundation for a company that would grow to become a respected name in the industrial and agri-food process control systems, trusted by customers in more than 25 countries around the world.
Building on this early success, Robydome quickly established itself as a pioneer in electronic process control. A breakthrough came with the introduction of the first electronic crop drying controller for bulk cereals, oilseeds and pulses. This groundbreaking innovation improved drying accuracy, efficiency and product quality for countless producers and was recognised with a prestigious Silver Medal from the Royal Agricultural Society of England.
Throughout the 1980s and 90s, the company expanded both its product range and its technical expertise, responding to growing demand for more sophisticated and user-friendly control systems.
We broadened our reach into new markets and began serving clients not only in agriculture but also in the wider industrial processing sector.
As automation technologies advanced, so did Robydome. We embraced the digital transformation early, incorporating microprocessor controls, sense integration and remote monitoring capabilities into our systems well ahead of industry trends. This forward-thinking approach has kept us at the forefront of the process control sector for nearly five decades.
Today, while our capabilities have evolved significantly, our core values remain unchanged. Innovation, reliability and a deep understanding of our customers’ needs continue to drive us forward, just as they did in 1976.
